The LinkedIn Podcast Network is a platform where leading voices in the professional world converge. Itās home to a range of thought-provoking shows, now including Redefining Work.

ā¶ One Big Thing
Remember when Glassdoor was the spot employers worried about employees and candidates sharing negative reviews?
Not any more.
Over the past several months, weāve seen a range of platforms from TikTok to X with viral posts about negative experiences, including layoffs, interviews, and early morning meetings.
This weekās viral post involves a product candidate shining a light on shady practices with unpaid interview projects.
If youāre currently asking candidates to do multiple rounds of unpaid work samples - watch this and consider the 3M views on X and LinkedIn.
Then, you might want to rethink that process.
I recently interviewed at Eight Sleep and it was the most demanding take home I've ever had. Their brief: "Create an in-app experience for a new product, integrating the existing app and flagship product." Even linked their design system and font family to use.
